The Vatican is calling on Catholics around the world to support Pope Leo XIV through the annual Peter’s Pence collection, which will be taken up Sunday, June 28. The funds raised help advance the pope’s mission of peace, hope, and charity. The collection is a longstanding tradition rooted in the earliest Christian communities, where on the last Sunday before the feast of Saints Peter and Paul, collections from around the world are sent to Rome to help those in need:
