In a deeply moving gesture of faith, a Brazilian mother fulfilled a promise after her premature daughter miraculously survived birth challenges. Baby Maria Alicia, who weighed just 970 grams at her birth on May 13th, Feast Day of Our Lady of Fatima - spent 34 days in the NICU due to an infection that occurred during pregnancy. Her mother Rania Santos, had vowed that if her daughter survived, she would carry her out of the NICU on her knees. Keeping her promise, Rania walked the hospital corridor on her knees, cradling her baby dressed as Our Lady of Aparecida – moving staff, family and thousands on social media. “The moment I entered the maternity ward I felt God's love in an extraordinary way. Instead of asking why, I put everything in God’s hands and trusted in the miracle,” she said later.
