PENDAHULUAN

Penjelasan mengenai panggilan dari Tuhan dan keputusan untuk meneruskan cara hidup dan pelayanan di dalam Yesus, Maria, Yusuf Pelayanan Kasih (Blessed and Saints and the Nine Choirs of Angels)

INTRODUCTION

An explanation of the call from God and the decision to continue the way of life and ministry in Jesus, Mary, Joseph Ministry of Love (Blessed and Saints and the Nine Choirs of Angels)

Yesus, Maria, Yusuf Pelayanan Kasih (Blessed and Saints and the Nine Choirs of Angels) adalah di bawah perlindungan Tuhan Yesus Kristus sendiri.

God the Father in Heaven has given me this inspiration and gift to continue the Kingdom of God in this world for the salvation of souls and the forgiveness of sins. Through His One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, the work of the Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit is grace and sanctification for every human being who longs for eternal life in Heaven. The Lord Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life and anyone who believes in Him and receives the Sacraments of the Catholic Church will become children of God and be saved. The Kingdom of God is love and forgiveness which is good news for all the peoples of this world. Jesus, Mary, Joseph Ministry of Love (Blessed and Saints and the Nine Choirs of Angels) is under the protection of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. I choose this name to be presented to the Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit so that this name may receive His protection and mercy in accordance with the life of the Holy Family of Nazareth, Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

This name has been my reflection and prayer all this time to help those who are weak and uneducated to live their Catholic faith according to their respective vocation in life. Here I use the language of the local people and hopefully by reading it we can understand and comprehend it. I address it to my students first where I have promised them to guide and walk with them to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. I have told them that I will return to them after I become a Catholic priest. But the decision I received before leaving the Seminary made me think back to the promise I made to my former students.

I believe that the call to become a Catholic priest comes from God and not from pressure and influence from other people. The encouragement from the Holy Spirit and desire to become a Catholic priest began before I received the Sacraments of the Catholic Church. At that time I was taking RCIA at St. Aloysius Limbanak. If I recall the signs of how God called me at that time, it was when I was attending Holy Mass led by Rev. Fr. Alex Sipanul, Rector of St. Michael Penampang. Father Alex Sipanul was a person who had helped me in terms of personal advice and spiritual guidance so that I began to understand what a calling from God was. A personal meeting with Father Alex Sipanul at his place helped me to continue to believe and not give up easily. With moral support and help from Father Alex Sipanul, I was finally accepted into CDC and then allowed to enter St Peter's College Seminary, Initiation Year Formation House, Jalan Sang Kancil Kota Kinabalu Sabah.

At that time, Bishop Datuk John Lee (Emeritus Archbishop Datuk John Lee) gave me the opportunity to enter this Seminary. I still remember his words of advice, "If you have the desire, you can go." My director at that time at Seminary Rev. Fr. Michael Modoit also advised me to follow his words of advice so as not to be easily influenced by the situation at the Seminary at that time. During that period I tried to continue studying and praying even though I was still weak in learning, especially in using English. However, the decision we had received for me was issued immediately at the Seminary leaving Father Michael Modoit feeling disappointed and disgraced. After talking with him, I finally agreed to leave the Seminary based on that decision rather than Father Michael Modoit. I have made the decision that one day, I will return to the Seminary when the time comes. But my request to return to the Seminary again was summarily rejected. This involves feedback on what is good and what is not good from the community and parish as well as the priest himself.

Now the time has changed. I see that some of my students are married, engaged, working and some of them still recognize me. There are also some of my school friends who still think that I will become a Catholic priest. At first I gave an answer to all of them that I would not become a Catholic priest. I had made it clear to several individuals that I would not be returning to Seminary again. The answer I gave was that after I got married, I would continue this vocation to the priesthood to my children when the time came for me to get married. But I acknowledge that this vocation from God is not only for myself, but for the entire Universal Catholic Church throughout the world. This is not only a prayer and the result of discernment but to listen to the voice of God and follow this path of love.

For the vocation to become a Catholic priest, I address all the members in every group or group that exists (which have been formed according to their respective appropriate methods). The vocation of the Priesthood in the Catholic Church is to be like and similar to Jesus Christ, in His thoughts, words and deeds. This is what I think and deeply examine why we need to strive to be and similar to the Lord Jesus Christ, so that as a Catholic priest, all our actions and deeds are led by the Spirit of God, and then lifted up and chosen as a servant and a prayerful person, living in the presence of God in the power of the Holy Spirit, and then obedient and faithful in following the plan and will of God our Father in Heaven (Hebrews 4: 14 - 5: 10, Matthew 10: 1 - 4, Mark 3: 13 - 19, Luke 6: 12 - 16).

This calling from God will not disappear and this is the message I can convey here. Hopefully my sharing here will benefit all of us. After doing the discernment prayer process, I decided to continue this calling of my life through this name. And I hope that those who have become members in the Jesus, Mary, Joseph Ministry of Love (Blessed and Saints and the Nine Choirs of Angels) will answer the call as Catholic priests, religious brothers and sisters to continue to be good shepherds like Jesus Christ for the common good of every group. But if you desire to continue to follow the path of life and ministry here, I urge all of you to follow the advice and rules that have been established.

Kita berdoa agar nama ini iaitu Yesus, Maria, Yusuf Pelayanan Kasih (Blessed and Saints and the Nine Choirs of Angels) ditubuhkan pada bila-bila masa sahaja.

I pray that by following this way of life and calling from God, namely Jesus, Mary, Joseph Ministry of Love (Blessed and Saints and the Nine Choirs of Angels), my former students can rediscover their identity as children of God the Father and at the same time return to walk with me according to my vocation in life, namely Blessed and Saints. For those who are interested in following this calling and ministry, I accept with a sincere and open heart. This is not a Congregation or Religious Community that has been approved by our Holy Father, the Pope in the Vatican, but a reflection to walk together by following the Lord Jesus Christ, through His One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church and then enter into the spirituality of spiritual life according to this vocation in life, namely Jesus, Mary, Joseph Ministry of Love (Blessed and Saints and the Nine Choirs of Angels). But if this way of spiritual life is fully accepted by the Holy Father, the Pope, I will willingly establish a Congregation or Community based on the name of my choice. I also intend to pass on everything here to all the members here. Hopefully, with God's help, this way of life of love can be continued in the future. We pray that this name of Jesus, Mary, Joseph Ministry of Love (Blessed and Saints and the Nine Choirs of Angels) will be established at any time.

This is my dream to establish a Congregation or Community. But God has a way and a plan to test me personally to see how far my prayers and dreams are in accordance with His will. Hopefully by studying and following this spiritual path of life, we will all enter Heaven without sin and evil. I pray that through this vocation of life, humanity in this world will also be saved from sin and evil, the influence of this world and from the kingdom of Satan. Salvation is in the Kingdom of Christ. And through His One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church we will gain eternal life in Heaven. United with the Holy Father the Pope, the Cardinals, the Archbishops, the Bishops, the priests, deacons, religious brothers and sisters and all the Catholics of the world, may the Church of Christ be a source of salvation for all the nations of this world.

Islands, listen to me,
pay attention, remotest peoples.
The Lord called me before I was born,
from my mother’s womb he pronounced my name.
He made my mouth a sharp sword,
and hid me in the shadow of his hand.
He made me into a sharpened arrow,
and concealed me in his quiver.
He said to me, ‘You are my servant (Israel)
in whom I shall be glorified’;
while I was thinking, ‘I have toiled in vain,
I have exhausted myself for nothing’;
and all the while my cause was with the Lord,
my reward with my God.
I was honoured in the eyes of the Lord,
my God was my strength.
And now the Lord has spoken,
he who formed me in the womb to be his servant,
to bring Jacob back to him,
to gather Israel to him:
‘It is not enough for you to be my servant,
to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back the survivors of Israel;
I will make you the light of the nations
so that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.’

(All) Thanks be to God.

Responsive Psalm : Psalm 70(71):1‐6,15,17

My lips will tell of your help.
In you, O Lord, I take refuge;
  let me never be put to shame.
In your justice rescue me, free me:
  pay heed to me and save me.
My lips will tell of your help.
Be a rock where I can take refuge,
  a mighty stronghold to save me;
  for you are my rock, my stronghold.
Free me from the hand of the wicked.
My lips will tell of your help.
It is you, O Lord, who are my hope,
  my trust, O Lord, since my youth.
On you I have leaned from my birth,
  from my mother’s womb you have been my help.
My lips will tell of your help.
My lips will tell of your justice
  and day by day of your help.
O God, you have taught me from my youth
  and I proclaim your wonders still.
My lips will tell of your help.

Gospel Acclamation: Verse Before the Gospel
Hail to you, our King, obedient to the Father; you were led to your crucifixion like a gentle lamb to the slaughter.

Gospel : John 13:21‐33,36‐38

(Reader) A reading from the holy Gospel according to John.
(All) Glory to you, O Lord.

While at supper with his disciples, Jesus was troubled in spirit and declared, ‘I tell you most solemnly, one of you will betray me.’ The disciples looked at one another, wondering which he meant. The disciple Jesus loved was reclining next to Jesus; Simon Peter signed to him and said, ‘Ask who it is he means’, so leaning back on Jesus’ breast he said, ‘Who is it, Lord?’ ‘It is the one’ replied Jesus ‘to whom I give the piece of bread that I shall dip in the dish.’ He dipped the piece of bread and gave it to Judas son of Simon Iscariot. At that instant, after Judas had taken the bread, Satan entered him. Jesus then said, ‘What you are going to do, do quickly.’ None of the others at table understood the reason he said this. Since Judas had charge of the common fund, some of them thought Jesus was telling him, ‘Buy what we need for the festival’, or telling him to give something to the poor. As soon as Judas had taken the piece of bread he went out. Night had fallen.
  When he had gone Jesus said:
‘Now has the Son of Man been glorified,
and in him God has been glorified.
If God has been glorified in him,
God will in turn glorify him in himself,
and will glorify him very soon.
‘My little children,
I shall not be with you much longer.
You will look for me,
And, as I told the Jews,
where I am going, you cannot come.’
Simon Peter said, ‘Lord, where are you going?’ Jesus replied, ‘Where I am going you cannot follow me now; you will follow me later.’ Peter said to him, ‘Why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.’ ‘Lay down your life for me?’ answered Jesus. ‘I tell you most solemnly, before the cock crows you will have disowned me three times.'

(Reader) The Gospel of the Lord.
(All) Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

For our reflection today:

“It is the one to whom I hand the morsel after I have dipped it” (Jn 13:26). With this simple and humble gesture, Jesus carries his love forward and to its depths, not because he is ignoring what is happening, but precisely because he sees it clearly. He has understood that the freedom of the other, even when it is lost in evil, can still be reached by the light of a meek gesture, because he knows that true forgiveness does not await repentance, but offers itself first, as a free gift, even before it is accepted. Judas, unfortunately, does not understand. After the morsel – says the Gospel – “Satan entered him” (v. 27). This passage strikes us: as if evil, hidden until then, manifested itself after love showed its most defenceless face. And precisely for this reason, brothers and sisters, that morsel is our salvation: because it tells us that God does everything – absolutely everything – to reach us, even in the hour when we reject him. It is here that forgiveness reveals all its power and manifests the true face of hope. It is not forgetfulness; it is not weakness. It is the ability to set the other free, while loving him to the end. Jesus’ love does not deny the truth of pain, but it does not allow evil to have the last word. This is the mystery Jesus accomplishes for us, in which we too, at times, are called to participate. (Pope Leo XIV - General Audience, 20 August 2025)

Saint Peter Regalado

St. Peter Regalado came from a wealthy, devout family in Valladolid, Spain, and joined the Conventual Franciscans at age 13. Shortly after his ordination, he became the superior of the friary in Aguilar and later led all Spanish Franciscans in a reform movement focused on poverty and penance. He was known for his effective leadership, addressing the shortcomings of others with patience and compassion and encouraging fellow friars to recommit to their vows. St. Peter was believed to have the ability to bilocate, often seen at two convents simultaneously.

He practiced silence, devoted much time to prayer, and celebrated Mass with deep devotion. St. Peter engaged in physical penance, fasting, and adhering to strict religious poverty, all while facing opposition with grace. He provided for the poor and sick with great care, experiencing extraordinary graces such as levitation during prayer. The bishop of Osma, when he saw the saint, said: “Truly, that is the abode of God.” St. Peter Regalado passed away on March 31, 1456, at the age of sixty-six. His burial site became a place of reverence and reported miracles.

St. Peter Regalado, let the fragrance of thy virtues diffuse itself in our lives. May we aspire to follow in your footsteps of divine righteousness and find the courage to carry out acts of penance with fortitude.

Saint John Climacus

St. John Climacus was born around the year 525 in Palestine. As a youth, he excelled in his studies and was highly regarded by his peers for his knowledge. At the age of 16, John decided to leave the world and retired to a hermitage near the base of Mount Sinai. For the next four years, John spent his time in prayer, fasting, meditation and discernment while preparing to take solemn vows to the religious life. Through the direction of Martyrius, John curbed his vices and worked to perfect his virtues.

After professing his solemn vows, John began to spend more of his time studying scriptures and the early fathers of the Church. He became very knowledgeable in these subjects but his humility caused him to hide his talents and not presume to share them with others. Near the end of his life, he was encouraged to share his knowledge with others and wrote the "Climax" also known as "The Ladder of Paradise." This work was a collection of sayings and examples to illustrate how to live the monastic life. From this work, he received the name Climacus, a derivative from the Latin root for climax or ladder.

As John progressed in years and wisdom, many of the religious living on Mount Sinai began to seek his advice in spiritual matters. He freely offered his advice and was highly regarded for his wisdom and holiness. Around the year 600 the abbot of all the religious in the region of Mount Sinai died and John was chosen to replace him. John ruled until his death in 605 and always tried to lead through his own example.

PRAYER OF JESUS, MARY, JOSEPH MINISTRY OF LOVE

(BLESSED AND SAINTS AND THE NINE CHOIRS OF ANGELS)

Penjelasan singkat tentang doa Yesus, Maria, Yusuf Pelayanan Kasih

(Blessed and Saints and the Nine Choirs of Angels).

A brief explanation of the prayers of Jesus, Mary, Joseph Ministry of Love

(Blessed and Saints and the Nine Choirs of Angels).

This prayer can be done every day. This prayer can also be done in the family, community or personally. All members are reminded to use this prayer as a way of life and their respective vocations. Believe me, the more we unite with God in prayer, the clearer His plan and will become. I encourage this prayer to be done according to the situation in which we are. Pray that God's wisdom leads us to His knowledge to continue living in His presence. If we want to ask for God's help and assistance, we can use this prayer at any time. Every member can use this prayer to pray for success in terms of learning regardless of our age. We can also use it in our respective families, communities or personally.

I encourage this prayer to be used even though initially this prayer is only intended for those who are already members of Jesus, Mary, Joseph Ministry of Love (Blessed and Saints and the Nine Choirs of Angels). Whatever our prayer request here is, do not give up easily when we experience tests from God or trials from the Devil. If there is a continuous disturbance, cast it out in the name of Jesus Christ and also ask for protection with the Blood of Jesus Christ. But every member needs to know that God will give what is in accordance with His will. If we are asking for something impossible and difficult, we need to pray continuously and do it while seeing the signs of God working around us. After we are convinced and certain that our prayer request needs to be done with our actions and deeds, continue to pray and do not ignore the encouragement of the Holy Spirit.

This is one way for us to cooperate with God in making spiritual distinctions (discernment). Do not feel disappointed if our prayers are not answered by God. Be patient and while expecting His forgiveness and mercy, we will understand that our prayers have been in the presence of God. Do not worry, we have Angels and Saints in Heaven with us. Remind each one of us that all our prayers are in Heaven. I explain here that according to my personal experience, this prayer of grace has helped me to pray and rely on the spiritual strength that comes from the power of God. This kind of experience is a touch of spiritual feeling which is a gift from the Holy Spirit, an experience of the supernatural, mysticism and contemplation of the lives of the Saints in Heaven.

Through this prayer I myself have obtained it (my prayer of request has been granted by God) but accompanied by prayer in the Eucharist and the Rosary. And if the prayer of our request has been answered by God, be grateful and thank God. Offer all of that to God in the Eucharist. If miracles and supernatural signs from God occur, we can share them with our fellow members. Stay humble because the Lord's Prayer taught to us by Jesus Christ is the greatest prayer among all the prayers in this world. Learn and ponder carefully whether the prayer is for our spiritual life or for our own benefit (self-interest). If we are driven to spiritual pride, stop from the temptation. If the prayer brings us to unity with God the Father in Heaven, it is a sign that we are in a union of love with God the Most Holy Trinity, Father, and Son, and Holy Spirit.

Gospel: John 12: 1-11

First Reading : Isaiah 42:1‐7
(Reader) A reading from the prophet Isaiah.

Here is my servant whom I uphold,
my chosen one in whom my soul delights.
I have endowed him with my spirit
that he may bring true justice to the nations.
He does not cry out or shout aloud,
or make his voice heard in the streets.
He does not break the crushed reed,
nor quench the wavering flame.
Faithfully he brings true justice;
he will neither waver, nor be crushed
until true justice is established on earth,
for the islands are awaiting his law.
Thus says God, the Lord,
he who created the heavens and spread them out,
who gave shape to the earth and what comes from it,
who gave breath to its people
and life to the creatures that move in it:
‘I, the Lord, have called you to serve the cause of right;
I have taken you by the hand and formed you;
I have appointed you as covenant of the people and light of the nations,
‘to open the eyes of the blind,
to free captives from prison,
and those who live in darkness from the dungeon.’

Responsive Psalm : Psalm 26(27):1‐3,13‐14

The Lord is my light and my help.
The Lord is my light and my help;
  whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
  before whom shall I shrink?
The Lord is my light and my help.
When evil‐doers draw near
  to devour my flesh,
it is they, my enemies and foes,
  who stumble and fall.
The Lord is my light and my help.
Though an army encamp against me
  my heart would not fear.
Though war break out against me
  even then would I trust.
The Lord is my light and my help.
I am sure I shall see the Lord’s goodness
  in the land of the living.
Hope in him, hold firm and take heart.
  Hope in the Lord!
The Lord is my light and my help.

Gospel Acclamation: Verse Before the Gospel
Hail to you, our King; you alone are compassionate with our faults.

Gospel : John 12:1‐11

(Reader) A reading from the holy Gospel according to John.
(All) Glory to you, O Lord.

Six days before the Passover, Jesus went to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom he had raised from the dead. They gave a dinner for him there; Martha waited on them and Lazarus was among those at table. Mary brought in a pound of very costly ointment, pure nard, and with it anointed the feet of Jesus, wiping them with her hair; the house was full of the scent of the ointment. Then Judas Iscariot – one of his disciples, the man who was to betray him – said, ‘Why wasn’t this ointment sold for three hundred denarii, and the money given to the poor?’ He said this, not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief; he was in charge of the common fund and used to help himself to the contributions. So Jesus said, ‘Leave her alone; she had to keep this scent for the day of my burial. You have the poor with you always, you will not always have me.’
  Meanwhile a large number of Jews heard that he was there and came not only on account of Jesus but also to see Lazarus whom he had raised from the dead. Then the chief priests decided to kill Lazarus as well, since it was on his account that many of the Jews were leaving them and believing in Jesus.

For our reflection today:

Pope at Santa Marta: No to the spirit of the world that leads us to corruption.
Alessandro Di Bussolo - Vatican City.

Pope Francis resumes the morning Mass at the Casa Santa Marta and recalls, that the Holy Spirit "is the guarantee that God remains in us", and that we do not lend faith to the spirit of the world, which makes us unconscious, to the point of not distinguishing good from evil.

The Christian life is to remain in God, following the Holy Spirit and not the spirit of the world, which leads to corruption, and does not distinguish good from evil. Pope Francis resumed the morning celebration of Holy Mass at the Casa Santa Marta and in his homily commented on the passage from the first letter of St. John the Apostle, the first reading in the liturgy of the day, in which the evangelist takes up the advice of Jesus to his disciples: "Remain in God".

For many Christians today the Holy Spirit is only a dove.

One can "be in the most sinful cities, in the most atheistic societies, but if one's heart remains in God," stressed the Pope, this man and this woman bring salvation. He then recalled the episode narrated in the Acts of the Apostles, who arrive in a city and meet Christians baptized by John. They ask them: "Have you received the Holy Spirit?", but they didn't even know he was there. How many Christians, commented Pope Francis, even today identify the Holy Spirit only with a dove and do not know that "what makes you remain in the Lord is the guarantee, the strength to remain in the Lord".

The spirit of the world makes you unconscious.

The Pontiff then spoke of the spirit of the world, which is contrary to the Holy Spirit. "Jesus, at the Last Supper," he recalled, "does not ask the Father to remove the disciples from the world," because Christian life is in the world, "but to protect them from the spirit of the world, which is the opposite. He emphasized, that it is, "even worse than committing a sin. It is an atmosphere that renders you unconscious, leads you to a point that you do not know how to recognize good from evil".

The Holy Spirit: the guarantee of remaining in God.

Instead, to remain in God, "we must ask for this gift" of the Holy Spirit, which is the guarantee. From this "we know that we remain in the Lord". But how can we know, Pope Francis asked, if we have the Holy Spirit or the spirit of the world? Saint Paul, he explained, gives us this advice: "Do not sadden the Holy Spirit. When we go towards the spirit of the world we upset the Holy Spirit and ignore him, we cast him aside and our life goes another way".

Those Christians who celebrate the New Year by wasting money.

The spirit of the world, the Pope added, is forgetting, because "sin does not turn you away from God if you realize it and ask forgiveness, but the spirit of the world makes you forget what sin is" everything is permissible. Then he said, that in these days a priest showed him a film of Christians celebrating the New Year in a tourist city, in a Christian country.

They celebrated the New Year with a terrible worldliness, wasting money and many things. The spirit of the world. "Is this a sin?" - "No dear: this is corruption, worse than sin." The Holy Spirit leads you to God, and if you sin, the Holy Spirit protects you and helps you to rise up, but the spirit of the world leads you to corruption, to the point that you do not know what is good and what is evil: everything is the same.

Test the spirits, to see if they come from God.

Pope Francis recalled an Argentinean song that says: "Go, go, go... everything is the same that down there in the oven we will meet". The spirit of the world, he commented, leads you to the unconsciousness "of not distinguishing sin". And how do I know, the Pontiff asked, if " I am on the road to worldliness, to the spirit of the world, or if am I following the Spirit of God?"

The Apostle John gives us this advice: "Dear friends, do not give faith to every spirit (i.e. to every feeling, every inspiration, every idea), but test the spirits, to test whether they really come from God (or from the world)". But what does it mean to test the Spirit? It is simply this: when you feel something, you feel like doing something, or you come up with an idea, a judgment of something, ask yourself: is this what I feel from the Spirit of God or from the spirit of the world?

Does what I hear come from the spirit of the world or from God?

And how do you do it? Pope Francis' advice is to ask yourself "once, twice a day, or when you feel something that comes into your mind": This thing that I feel, that I want to do, where does it come from? "From the spirit of the world or the Spirit of God? Will this make me good or will it throw me down the road of worldliness that is unconsciousness?".

So many Christians don't know what goes on in their hearts.

Many Christians, the Pope lamented, "live without knowing what goes on in their hearts". That is why St. Paul and St. John say: "Do not lend faith to every spirit", to what you feel, but put it to the test. And so "we will know what happens in our hearts". Because, concluded Pope Francis: "For many Christians their hearts are like a road and they do not know who comes and goes, who comes and goes, because they do not know how to examine what happens inside".

For this reason I recommend that you take some time every day before going to bed or at noon - when you want to - [and ask yourself]: what has happened in my heart today? What did I want to do, to think? What is the spirit that has moved in my heart? The Spirit of God, the gift of God, the Holy Spirit who always brings me forward to the encounter with the Lord or the spirit of the world who gently, slowly moves me away from the Lord; it is a slow, slow, slow slide.

A Heart that is not a road, but a meeting point with God.

In a final piece of advice, the Pope said, “we ask this grace, "to remain in the Lord and we pray to the Holy Spirit, that He may make us remain in the Lord and give us the grace to distinguish spirits, that is, what moves within us. May our heart not be a road", may it be the meeting point between us and God.
