Santo Siprianus dari Karthago mengajak kita untuk mendoakan jiwa-jiwa di Api Penyucian dan memohon doa daripada Para Orang kudus. Apa yang ingin disampaikan oleh Santo Siprianus dari Karthago ini adalah agar kita tidak mudah lupa untuk berdoa pada diri sendiri dan juga untuk orang lain. Saya yakin Santo Siprianus ini sentiasa berdoa bagi kepentingan jiwa-jiwa yang menderita daripada dosa dan kematian. Marilah kita renungkan kembali kata-katanya ini; “Mari kita mengingat satu sama lain di dalam keselarasan dan kesatuan suara. Biarlah kita yang di kedua pihak selalu saling mendoakan. Biarlah kita meringankan beban dan kesusahan dengan saling mengasihi, sehingga jika satu di antara kita, oleh pertolongan ilahi, dapat pergi lebih dulu, cinta kasih kita tetap berlanjut di dalam hadirat Tuhan, dan doa-doa kita bagi saudara-saudari kita tidak berhenti di hadirat belas kasihan Allah Bapa.” Kini Santo Siprianus mendoakan kita di hadirat Allah Bapa kita di Syurga. Kita tidak perlu ada rasa bosan dan malas lagi untuk berdoa. Lihatlah kebaikan Tuhan ini yang memillih orang yang rendah hati untuk menjadi seorang pendoa seperti Santo Siprianus ini. Kegembiraan dan sukacita Paskah akan menjadi milik kita semua apabila kita berdoa bagi seluruh kepentingan Gereja Katolik kita. Inilah cara hidup dan panggilan Para Orang Kudus kita yang sentiasa bersama dengan Yesus di dalam doa. Apabila kita saling mendoakan dalam nama Yesus, kita pasti mendapat pertolongan dari Tuhan. Saint Cyprian of Carthage invites us to pray for the souls in Purgatory and ask for prayers from the Saints. What Saint Cyprian of Carthage wanted to convey was that we should not easily forget to pray for ourselves and also for others. I am sure that Saint Cyprian always prayed for the needs of souls suffering from sin and death. Let us think again about these words; "Let us remember each other in harmony and unity of voice. Let us on both sides always pray for each other. Let us lighten burdens and troubles by loving each other, so that if one of us, by divine help, can go first, our love continues in the presence of God, and our prayers for our brothers and sisters do not stop in the presence of God the Father's mercy." Now Saint Cyprian prays for us in the presence of God our Father in Heaven. We no longer need to feel bored and lazy to pray. Look at the goodness of God who chose a humble person to become a prayer like Saint Cyprian. The joy and happiness of Easter will be ours all when we pray for the entire interests of our Catholic Church. This is the way of life and calling of our Saints who are always with Jesus in prayer. Sanctus Cyprianus Carthaginensis nos invitat ut pro animis Purgatorii oremus et a Sanctis preces petamus. Quod Sanctus Cyprianus Carthaginensis significare voluit est nos non facile oblivisci debere et pro nobis ipsis et pro aliis orare. Certus sum Sanctum Cyprianum semper pro necessitatibus animarum a peccato et morte laborantium orasse. De his verbis iterum cogitemus: "Memor estote invicem concordia et voce unita. Utrinque semper pro invicem oremus. Onera et molestias levemus invicem diligendo, ut si quis nostrum, divino auxilio, praecedere possit, amor noster in praesentia Dei permaneat, et preces nostrae pro fratribus et sororibus nostris in praesentia misericordiae Dei Patris non cessent." Nunc sanctus Cyprianus pro nobis orat in praesentia Dei Patris nostri in caelis. Non amplius nobis taedium et pigritiam ad orandum sentire necesse est. Aspice Dei bonitatem qui hominem humilem elegit ut fieret oratio sicut Sanctus Cyprianus. Gaudium et laetitia Paschalis nostrae erunt cum pro omnibus commodis Ecclesiae nostrae Catholicae orabimus. Haec est via vitae et vocatio Sanctorum nostrorum qui semper cum Iesu in oratione sunt. Cum pro invicem in nomine Iesu oramus, auxilium a Deo certe accipiemus. San Cipriano di Cartagine ci invita a pregare per le anime del Purgatorio e a chiedere l'intercessione dei Santi. Ciò che San Cipriano di Cartagine voleva trasmetterci era l'importanza di non dimenticare mai di pregare per noi stessi e per gli altri. Sono certo che San Cipriano abbia sempre pregato per le necessità delle anime che soffrono a causa del peccato e della morte. Riflettiamo ancora su queste parole: “Ricordiamoci gli uni degli altri in armonia e unità di voce. Preghiamo sempre gli uni per gli altri, da entrambe le parti. Alleggeriamo i pesi e le sofferenze amandoci gli uni gli altri, affinché, se uno di noi, con l'aiuto divino, possa andarsene per primo, il nostro amore continui alla presenza di Dio e le nostre preghiere per i nostri fratelli non si interrompano alla presenza della misericordia di Dio Padre”. Ora San Cipriano prega per noi alla presenza di Dio Padre nostro che è nei cieli. Non dobbiamo più sentirci annoiati o pigri per pregare. Guardate la bontà di Dio che ha scelto una persona umile per diventare un esempio di preghiera come San Cipriano. La gioia e la felicità della Pasqua saranno tutte nostre quando pregheremo per il bene di tutta la nostra Chiesa Cattolica. Questo è il modo di vivere e la vocazione dei nostri Santi, che sono sempre con Gesù nella preghiera. Quando preghiamo gli uni per gli altri nel nome di Gesù, riceveremo sicuramente aiuto da Dio.
