I adore you, my God, placed on the cross for me!
Here are 4 ways to live Good Friday united with Jesus:
Celebration of the Lord's Passion:
Attend your parish and receive the Eucharist, which is only distributed in this liturgy. From today until the
Easter Vigil, there are no sacraments, except for
Confession and the
Anointing of the Sick in case of necessity.
On this day, processions or similar public acts are held, generally presided over by the image of the suffering Christ and his Sorrowful Mother.
So meditate on the Passion and Death of the Lord and accompany the Lord in procession on his way to Calvary.
Listen to the "
Seven Last Words Sermon" and reflect on the seven last phrases that Jesus uttered on the cross before giving his life for the salvation of humanity.
Today the
Catholic Church indicates practicing them to live in penance and prayer.
Remember that fasting is eating one main meal plus two small meals that together do not exceed the main meal in quantity; and abstinence means not eating meat and organs of mammals and poultry, nor soups and creams made from them.
