His Holiness Pope Leo XIV grants a plenary indulgence in the form laid down by the Church to all the faithful present and to those who receive his blessing by radio, television and other means of communication.

Let us ask Almighty God to grant the Pope many years as leader of the Church, and peace and unity to the Church throughout the world.

EASTER MESSAGE AND BLESSING "URBI ET ORBI"

The Regina cæli.

Queen of heaven, rejoice, alleluia! for he whom you were worthy to bear, alleluia! has risen as he said, alleluia! Pray for us to God, alleluia! Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia! For the Lord has truly risen, alleluia.

Let us pray:

O God, who through the resurrection  of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, did vouchsafe to give joy to the world; grant, we beseech you, that through his Mother, the Virgin Mary, we may obtain the joys of everlasting life. Through the same Christ our Lord.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and  to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and  ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

For the Faithful Departed: 

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace.

Regina cæli.

Regina dei cieli, rallegrati, alleluia: Cristo, che hai portato nel grembo, alleluia, è risorto, come aveva promesso, alleluia. Prega il Signore per noi, alleluia. Rallegrati, Vergine Maria, alleluia. Il Signore è veramente risorto, alleluia.

Preghiamo.

O Dio, che nella gloriosa risurrezione del tuo Figlio hai ridato la gioia al mondo intero, per intercessione di Maria Vergine, concedi a noi di godere la gioia della vita senza fine. Per Cristo nostro Signore.

Gloria al Padre e al Figlio e allo Spirito Santo. Come era nel principio e ora e sempre nei secoli dei secoli. Amen.

Per i fedeli defunti: 

L’eterno riposo dona loro, o Signore. E splenda ad essi la luce perpetua. Riposino in pace.

May the apostles Peter and Paul, in whose power and authority we trust, intercede for us before the Lord.

Through the prayers and merits of blessed Mary ever-Virgin, Saint Michael the Archangel, Saint John the Baptist, the holy apostles Peter and Paul, and all the saints, may Almighty God have mercy on you and forgive all your sins, and may Jesus Christ bring you to life everlasting.

May the almighty and merciful Lord grant you indulgence, absolution and the remission of all your sins, a season of true and fruitful penance, a welldisposed heart, amendment of life, the grace and comfort of the Holy Spirit and final perseverance in good works.

And may the blessing of almighty God, the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, come down on you and remain with you for ever.

I Santi Apostoli Pietro e Paolo, nella potestà e autorità dei quali noi confidiamo, intercedano per noi presso il Signore.

Per le preghiere ed i meriti della beata sempre Vergine Maria, di San Michele Arcangelo, di San Giovanni Battista, dei Santi Apostoli Pietro e Paolo e di tutti i Santi, Dio onnipotente abbia misericordia di voi e, dopo aver perdonato i vostri peccati, Cristo Gesù vi conduca alla vita eterna.

Il Signore onnipotente e misericordioso vi conceda l’indulgenza, l’assoluzione e la remissione di tutti i vostri peccati, un periodo di vera e fruttuosa penitenza, un cuore sempre ben disposto e l’emendamento della vita, la grazia e la consolazione dello Spirito Santo e la perseveranza finale nelle buone opere.

E la benedizione di Dio onnipotente, Padre e Figlio e Spirito Santo, discenda su di voi e con voi rimanga sempre.
