Saints Digna and Emerita

Sts. Digna and Emerita were two Roman maidens who were captured and subjected to torture during the persecution of Valerian between 254 and 259 AD in Rome. They were eventually martyred in the year 259 AD. Today, their relics can be found at the church of San Marcello al Corso in Rome.

Sts. Digna and Emerita, obtain for us the grace to bear witness to the glory and the goodness of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
