Nine years after his murder, France remembers Father Jacques Hamel, the 85-year-old priest who was killed by terrorists during Mass in Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray. Father Hamel is remembered as a courageous and devoted man who pledged to serve the Church until his death. He was murdered on July 26, 2016, when two 19-year-old attackers stormed his church, took him hostage, and slit his throat.
